Campus Description
The non-sectarian University is comprised of the privately endowed College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Professional Studies, School of Business, and the New York State College of Ceramics (School of Art and Design and the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering). Bachelor's, master's, doctoral degrees, as well as the certificate of advanced study are awarded as the culmination of Alfred University's academic and professional programs.

Sports
Varsity Sports, NCAA Division III: Women's: basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, indoor and outdoor track, volleyball. Men's: basketball, cross-country, football, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, indoor and outdoor track. Coed: equestrian.
Intramural Sports: Approximately 20 intramural sports offered.
Club Sports: Women's: field hockey, skiing. Men's: baseball, golf, ice hockey, rugby, skiing, and volleyball.
Clubs and Activities
There are more than 90 clubs, groups, and organizations available to Alfred University students. We have a very active student government and media outlets such as AUTV, and our student newspaper, Fiat Lux. We encourage our students to participate in campus activities as part of the Alfred experience. Some of our popular programs include Hot Dog Day weekend, SAB Concerts, and the Alfies Award Show.
